Remorse is but an afterthought of the conscience brought about by Don Quixote adaptations

Long time no see, folks. Much like my Wii Fit board I’m sure you’re all going to be most perturbed that I haven’t paid attention to you. But I have been incredibly busy, what with wrapping up three subjects in the last six days and shooting the first part of footage to wrap up another. It’s been quite crazy. Crazy days indeed.
So Checkmate. Look – it’s getting there. With the talkshow for Media Workshop, the essays for Visual Thinking and Public Opinion and the short effects film for Digital Effects it’s kinda gotten left by the wayside, and for that I apologise. However, it’s still very much in the forefront of my mind. I’ve gotten a bunch of sound effects (big big big thanks to my almost comatose friend and AD-in-crime Josh for those) which are gonna make it kick ass. There are a few cutaways in the briefing sequence I want to add to make it a bit more snappy, and then some music, and then we should be right to go. Oh – and titles. But yeah. I say give it a week or two. Maybe three, cos I have to do ‘Switch’.

Mmm. Speaking of ‘Switch’. The shoot went really well the other day. The first part with Iain and Sally at uni went really well, even if it was 50 minutes over-schedule. Then we went to Mac Uni and shot from 10pm to 4am. Nice and crazy like. But though it got a bit rough toward the end, I think I’m still really happy with how it turned out. Put it this way – we’ll do it in post. And I will. For hours.

Anyway. Dan has to work now. For now, adieu.
Until next time…
